Nurturing Young Minds Through the Power of Creativity
My project's goal is to inspire 1st-5th grade students to explore art as a means of enjoyment along with a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) experience. The focus is teaching kids how to build confidence by becoming responsible risk-takers and not letting mistakes or failures cripple them. I intend to utilize a young artist who is relatable to the students. This will be done through an art exhibition, a video with a strong SEL message, and a hands-on art lesson with all materials provided.

Developed by experienced art teacher Valerie Anglen, All About Art is an innovative program designed to teach children self-management and confidence-building skills through art. Our program provides art lessons to students from grades 1 to 5, allowing them to explore social-emotional learning and take calculated risks as budding artists.
Our program is not only about painting and drawing; it's about helping children discover their inner potential and express themselves through the medium of art. With our curriculum, we hope to inspire young artists to embrace failures and take risks in all aspects of their lives.
As a result of All About Art, our students have shown improvements in focus, self-discipline, and self-confidence. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow through art.
